About The Miner Foundation

 

 

 

The Miner Foundation (www.minerfoundation.org) is a U.S. IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable grant-making foundation.  Donations to The Miner Foundation are tax deductible.

 

 

 

History

 

 

 

The Miner Foundation was established and endowed in 2004 by Allen Miner, the Founder of Oracle Japan, and the Founder and CEO of SunBridge Corporation (www.sunbridge.com).  It received the U.S. Federal ID/EIN # 98-0441716 in December 2004.  The original name was “The Miner Family Foundation” which was changed to “The Miner Foundation” in March 2005.  It received verification of its U.S. IRS tax exempt status, as a 501(c)(3) Private Foundation, in February 2006, with the effective date September 1, 2004.

Activities

 

 

The Miner Foundation makes contributions and grants across a range of causes.  Historically, most of its activities fall within three broad categories related to support for:

The Miner Foundation Response to the 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

 

 

The magnitude 9.0 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11, 2011 had a devastating impact on the local communities in the Tohoku region, has caused disruption throughout Japan, and has had global repercussions. 

 

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected with hopes for a strong recovery.

 

To assist in the relief and recovery, The Miner Foundation in partnership with SunBridge Corporation has sponsored several Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief donation campaigns. For more information, please see www.minerfoundation.org/index.htm.
